What is the purpose of a PTA?

As the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation, Parent Teacher Association (PTA) reminds our country of its obligations to our children.  It provides parents and families with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child while providing the best tools for parents to help their children be successful students.

PTA Mission:

To be a powerful voice for all children

To be a relevant resource for families and communities, and

To be a strong advocate for the education and well being of every child.

PTA Vision:

Making every child's potential a reality.

 Your pta at work!

The PTA is the bridge between parents, teachers, and the community — working together to ensure every child thrives. We’re more than bake sales and meetings. The PTA advocates for students, empowers families, supports teachers, and funds vital programs that enrich the educational experience at Foster Elementary. Through the PTA, we provide classroom resources, organize school events, fund STEAM programs, promote safety initiatives, and amplify the voice of our school at the district and state level. Every dollar raised and every hour volunteered helps create a stronger, more connected, and better-resourced school for our kids.
